I woke up from a Covid coma lasting 45 days after my nurse friends injected VIAGRA to treat me

A NURSE fighting for her life in a 45-day Covid coma was saved after colleagues used VIAGRA to treat her.
Monica Almeida, 37, has been just 72 hours since her ventilator was turned off when doctors intended to use the drug to treat erectile dysfunction.
The oxygen level the mother of two needed was halved and her condition improved after a week – meaning she went home for Christmas.
Monica has now commended doctors for thinking quickly when using the drug, helping to open the tide of transmission for her.
Respiratory nurse, from Gainsborough Lincs, said: “I had a little joke with the consultant after I got to the ring because I knew him.
“He told me it was Viagra, I laughed and thought he was joking, but he said ‘no, really, you took a huge amount of Viagra.”
“It’s my little Christmas miracle.”
Monica, who has treated Covid patients while working for NHS Lincolnshire, tested positive for the disease in October.
The mother who was stabbed with two fingers lost her sense of smell and sense of smell and coughed up blood on the fourth day after being diagnosed.
After her oxygen levels dropped the next day, she went to the hospital but was discharged with a prescription and no treatment.

Within two hours of returning home, Monica woke up unable to breathe and was taken to Lincoln County Hospital, where she was taken straight to the recovery room.
The Medics fought to restore her oxygen levels to normal but her condition deteriorated and she was taken to the ICU.
She was placed in a coma on 16 November with her condition so severe her parents were asked to fly from Portugal to England to say their goodbyes.
Monica said: “I could have gone at 37, but I consider myself a bit of a monkey and didn’t stop fighting.”
With a seemingly bleak prognosis, the doctors decided to use unusual treatment to help Monica.
Viagra has previously been seen as a possible way to treat Covid patients because the tiny blue pill dilates blood vessels and opens up the airways.
Scientists are conducting trials to determine if it can be used in the same way as inhaling nitric oxide, which can boost blood oxygen levels.
Viagra could be offered to Brit coronavirus patients if they agree to participate in a study to try the experimental drug.
‘VIAGRA TO SAVE ME’
“It was definitely Viagra that saved me,” Monica said.
“Within 48 hours, it opened up my air waves and my lungs started responding.
“If you think about how the drug works, it dilates your blood vessels.
“I have asthma and my airbag needs a little help.”
The mother is currently recuperating at home with her husband Artur and two sons aged 9 and 14.
She is now urging people to get vaccinated after being told she would have died if she hadn’t been stabbed.
Health officials have repeatedly said Covid-boosting shots offer the best chance of weathering the pandemic.
The Sun’s Jabs Army campaign is helping to get vital additional vaccines in the UK’s arms to avoid the need for any new restrictions.
“There are people out there who say vaccines kill people,” says Monica. I’m not denying that there are people who respond and are poor to vaccines, but when we look at the number of deaths we’re seeing in unvaccinated people, there’s a big message there. have your attention.
“What worries me, especially in Lincolnshire, is that people are against vaccinations.
“I never expected at the age of 37 to be sick like me. I never thought this would happen to me and I want people to take it more seriously.”
