ZLATAN Ibrahimovic has revealed his brutal knee drainage routine as the 40-year-old’s future remains in doubt.
The soccer superstar underwent knee surgery earlier this week as he continues his extraordinary career well into his 40s.
That season he was part of the AC Milan team that won Serie A for the first time in eleven years.
But the Swede revealed on his Instagram the work he should have done to keep him fit and fighting throughout the season.
The video appears to show fluid being drained from his left knee with a syringe.
The process helps relieve swelling and reduce pain.
In the video’s caption, Ibrahimovic writes, “Brooked knee once a week for six months.”
The forward is expected to be out eight months after undergoing knee surgery and is unlikely to return until mid-next season.
The surgery on his left knee was intended to repair damage from a previous anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Earlier this week, Ibrahimovic revealed on Instagram that he “played without a cruciate ligament in his left knee” for six months and “hardly slept” during that time.
