Zach Lowe almost ‘falls off his chair’ after Kendrick Perkins’ controversial LeBron James game vs. NBA Today

SPORTS reporter Zach Lowe claims he nearly fell off his chair after a controversial interpretation by NBA Today.
Lowe was outraged by Kendrick Perkins’ comments about LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
The pair bumped into each other every afternoon on NBA Today, ESPN’s new weekday basketball show.
Perkins apparently hinted that James is no longer the face of the Lakers franchise.
And the ESPN star claimed Austin Reaves is now the star of the Los Angeles team.
Lowe was upset by this comment and he challenged Perk with this opinion while presenter Malika Andrews looked on.
Lowe said, “Either I hallucinated for a second, or I heard Perk calling Austin Reaves the face of the franchise instead of Anthony Davis and LeBron James.”
“Did that just happen and no one paid attention to it?”
Perkins replied, “Zach, I know when you’re in LA you’re just in the studio and your hotel room.”
“But Malika was just talking about driving around LA and seeing nothing but Austin Reaves billboards.
“I wasn’t the one sitting in the Crypto.com arena shouting MVP, it was the fans crowning him MVP.”
“Austin Reaves has taken this league by storm, and I’m going to ask you this: Let me host for a minute, Malika.”
Malika laughed: “Go on, my friend.”
And Perkins asked Lowe, “When was the last time we saw LeBron James surrender to another guard like he did to Austin Reaves in the postseason?”
Lowe hit back: “There’s no doubt Austin Reaves is really, really good and he deserves his touches and his ‘I am him’ moment.”
“He’s great at getting to the line, he’s a good passer and he has greatness.”
“Face of the franchise? I almost fell off my chair, Perk. LeBron James plays for this team.”
And a diplomatic Malika intervened, “Zach, I know that, you’re the face of our franchise.”

Reaves averaged 13 points per game for the Lakers this season and helped them make the playoffs late.
However, they lost 4-0 to the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals.
