Yu And Me Books has a selection of books that represent you and me.

Yu is a 27-year-old chemical engineer, originally from Los Angeles, who decided to switch careers last year.

“I never felt like there was a city embracing me like New York did,” Yu said.

“Seeing someone like my grandmother, my mother, just cross the street and get attacked, it was a very scary time,” Yu said. “And it still is. And I think that really pushed me to open this up earlier.”
The store is not only a safe haven, but also a cozy place – even with a small reading nook with comfy chairs.
It only opened last week but has already received a lot of buzz on social media, attracting customers who have also always wanted something like what it has to offer.
Jien Ko of Brooklyn said that after a difficult year, this place made her feel like her experience was important.
