Nothing brings a home to life like colorful happy potted plants.
Whether you have orchids, roses, or ferns, you’ll need to make sure to water them regularly so they keep their vibrant colors.
Unfortunately, many of our trees die while we are on vacation because no one takes care of them.
Even 3 days apart from flowers can cause flowers to wilt a bit.
But one man on TikTok, the very popular @Creative_Explained, said he has Perfect solution to make sure your plants are still alive when you’re gone.
“When you’re done with a plastic bottle, don’t throw it out,” he began.
“What you want to do instead is poke a hole in the lid and put the Q-tip through it.”
The hole is just big enough to hold the Q-tip in place.
“Then take a chopstick or any kind of stick and stick it in the bottle,” he said.
He positioned the chopstick so that it poked out of the mouth of the bottle.
Next, remove the cap for a moment to fill the bottle with water and then put the cap back on.
Now, you are ready for your plants and flowers.
Take a plant and stick the bottle in its soil— use chopsticks to stick it in.
“What you have right now is a homemade drip system.
“That will help you continue watering the plants slowly while you’re away for a few days.”
The Q-tip cotton allows the water in the bottle to drip little by little into the basin.
This is how I keep my pineapple alive when I’m away from home for a week.
The clip has since garnered more than a million views, with commenters voicing admiration at the man’s creativity:
“This guy makes everything reusable and I love it. It’s amazing what you can do with things,” one person wrote.
“Someone gave this man a noble award,” another added.
