Why Pin WhatsApp Chats?

WhatsApp is exploding in popularity – around two billion people use the app every month.

And if you’re constantly chatting on WhatsApp, it’s easy to lose track of your most important chats on the app.

Busy group chats filled with work buddies or single evenings can keep a partner or family member immersed in your app.

But you can permanently pin any chat to the top of your feed.

It makes it easy to find the most important conversations in your life – especially if you have too much load clogging up your feed.

This feature works for both one-on-one and group chats.

How to Pin WhatsApp Chats on Android, iPhone and Desktop

On your Android phone, tap and hold the conversation you want to pin.

Then tap the Pin icon that appears at the top of the screen.

To unpin a conversation, tap and hold the conversation, then tap Remove Pin.

On iPhone, swipe right on the chat you want to pin.

Then tap Pin, which will lock the conversation at the top of your app.

To unpin a chat, swipe right on the pinned conversation, and then tap Unpin.

If you’re using WhatsApp for desktop, click the down arrow on the right side of the chat.

Then select Pin to pin the conversation.

Alternatively, to unpin a conversation, follow the same steps but tap Unpin chat.

Remember that you can only pin up to three specific chats to the top of your inbox.
