Your Majesty asks TRIUMPHANT to return to royal duties as she begins the Jubilee Year with a busy schedule.

American tourist fined for jumping the fence of Buckingham Palace

An American tourist has been fined £200 after he admitted trespassing on the grounds of Buckingham Palace.

On December 10 of last year, Joseph Huang Kang jumped over the fence into the Royal Mews – which houses the royal family’s horses.

The 24-year-old employee ignored his challengers and fled before being found in the restroom.

Kang, from Houston, Texas, on Wednesday pleaded guilty to trespassing on a protected site at Westinister Magistrates Court.

His attorney, Lucy Watson, said that at the time of the crime he was suffering from “unspecified psychosis”.

“No harm was done, he did not enter the palace, he did not intend to enter the palace, no damage was caused,” she said.

Ms Watson told the court that US national Kang had arrived in the UK on December 1, staying at Heathrow airport for several days because his debit card had been cancelled.

His parents booked him a flight home but Kang began to suffer from mental disorders before he even boarded the plane, she said.
