Young Dolph murder suspect Justin Johnson says he will turn himself in to police

The main suspect in rapper Young Dolph’s fatal shooting has claimed he is innocent of the charges against him.

Justin Johnson, 23, took to his social media page Saturday to not only say he is not guilty but also to announce that he will make himself a police officer on Monday.

Using his Instagram account under the stage name StraightDrop, Johnson wrote: “Back to myself Monday 2018, I’m naive, I’ll be back sooner than you can blink.”

Shortly before posting that announcement, he uploaded a video of a local news package detailing his criminal history, including an interview with a criminal court judge from Shelby County, TN .

In the footage, the judge describes how Johnson had taken on an earlier case on his own with Johnson appearing to be a good prisoner and was released from probation early.

Johnson captioned the post: “Next time post REAL Blogs… BS butt.”

Johnson is a prime suspect in the murder and is currently wanted on a number of charges, including first-degree murder.

Young Dolph died on November 17, 2021, at a local cookie shop in Memphis.

Artist, real name Adolph Robert Thornton Jr, was shot dead at Makeda Cookies.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation then released a tweet on January 5 that read: “#TNMostW wishes: We need your help to find Justin Johnson, wanted by @MEM_PoliceDept and TBI for crimes 1st Degree Homicide, 1st Degree Homicide and Property Theft $10,000-$60,000. He should be considered armed and dangerous Have you seen him?Call 901-378-3132 or 1-800-TBI-FIND.”

An arrest warrant for Johnson was issued after police tracked down potential suspects.

According to law enforcement agencies, he is on the TBI Most Wanted List, has ties to organized crime and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Johnson appears to be a local rapper named StraightDrop, according to his social media site, who loves to show off his clothes, flashy cars, and piles of cash.

In one Instagram in the photo, he is sitting in a car with one hand covering his face while holding a stack of money in the other and appears to be wearing a variety of Gucci clothing.

An aggregate reward of $15,000 was offered for information leading to his arrest.

Young Dolph is a 36-year-old rapper who has been in the field for many years. His debut mixtape, Paper Route Campaign was released in 2008, several years before his first studio album King of Memphis in 2016.

The young Dolph collaborated with many rappers including 2 Chainz, Key Glock, TI, Gucci Mane and Megan Thee Stallion.
