It will be his first fight since losing his rematch to Oleksandr Usyk in August.
The fight will be shown live on DAZN PPV in the UK.
However, the monthly price of subscribing to the service has increased from £7.99 to £19.99 per month.
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has a partnership with DAZN and promoted it in a tweet captioned “No PPV (Pay Per View). Just a little taste of what’s to come in 2023.”
This has caused many fans of the sport to take to social media to vent their frustration.
One tweeted: “The cheek of not saying a PPV when the subscription fee for Dazn just went up.”
A second commented: “Walking into a supermarket to decide whether to buy those eggs or get a monthly DAZN subscription isn’t the executive decision I want to fucking make in 2023.”
A third wrote: “You know there’s a cost of living crisis right?

“With BT I get Moto GP, Footy, UFC and Boxing. Sky the same plus NFL and F1. Dazn? Skye Nicholson and Turkish MMA. Bye-bye Eddie!”
A fourth said: “Technically it’s still because you have to pay to watch it on DAZN and they’ve just magically increased the monthly fee to £19.99 a month, just in time.”
A fifth added: “No PPV but PPV price every month?”
Speaking of the fight, Hearn said: “You go into this fight in April – you know that if you lose, it’s really over. It would be the third loss in a row.
“Yet a great performance and a showreel knockout has everyone saying, ‘We’re back, we’re back baby.’
“I can’t wait because I love it when we have our backs to the wall.
“Those are the best moments and this is one of those moments for AJ. He wants a big fight in the summer.

“The one that would make sense and hopefully should be fairly easy to do is the rematch with Dillian Whyte.
“We’re open to a fight with Deontay Wilder, we’re open to a fight with Tyson Fury.”
