In a short clip, which has been viewed more than 4.8 million times and received more than 517,000 likes, the organizing expert takes the first step to demonstrate what people are doing wrong by not using their space properly.

She placed three wine glasses on a vertical shelf before noticing how the base protruded, preventing the door from closing.

Offering a simple solution, she alternates between placing one glass upright and the next facing down – resulting in glassware that doesn’t protrude and is stored neatly. That’s it!

Given one of his other top tips, the professional organizer advises against balancing porcelain bowls on top of each other.

For a more stable storage solution, experts suggest placing a handy divider on the shelf that allows half of the bowls to be stacked on top, and the rest on the bottom.

This gives them a much neater and organized look so they’re easier to grab when preparing meals in a hurry.

And when it comes to espresso cups, the savvy TikTok user has another rule she encourages everyone to follow.

Place a cup on the shelf from under the base, then she turns the second person to its side and places it inside the rim of the first cup, allowing more cups to fit in the cabinet.

Coming to the comments section, many homeowners said how impressed they were with the “game changing” tip.

“That first one is a game changer!” one person complimented, while a second simply wrote: “Nice trick. Thank you.”

Another joked, “Content I didn’t know I needed”, while a fourth joked, “Oh my god, I’ve never loved a tik tok more!!” followed by the clapping emoji.

And when one person questioned why the cups were tilted to the side and whether it was purely to save room, the cleaning expert replied: “So they don’t scratch.”

Another commented, “All I had to do was turn the glass upside down,” replied the expert: “As simple as that!”
