You are cleaning your makeup brushes the wrong way

MAKEUP can be all that fun and play until you start noticing those breakouts on your skin.

And while you might think it’s caused by that new platform, chances are it’s not.

A life hack expert, who follows @Creative_Explained on TikTok, reveals that you need to clean your brush properly to avoid clogging your pores.

Along with that piece of information, he claims to know the best way to clean makeup brush.

In the clip, he begins: “Put some baking soda in a cup, then put your makeup brush in it and cover it with baking soda.”

Next, he poured a generous amount of white vinegar into the cup.

The formula starts to bubble and rise.

“Watch out for it to fly away the bacteria,” he said.

After letting the brush soak in the cup for about five minutes, he said take half a lemon.

“Rub your brush on a lemon like this — like you’re painting on a lemon.”

Next, rinse the brush under cold running water and wrap it in a piece of paper towel to begin drying.

The final step involves a wire clothes hanger.

“Get the hanger, get the brush, get the hair tie.

“Tie a hair tie around the brush on a hanger, then hang it somewhere and let it dry.”

The cleaning expert says this method is a better alternative to makeup brush cleaners that “contain harmful chemicals.”

While many people find this tip helpful, some find the process too time-consuming:

“Too many steps for this lol,” one person wrote.

Another added: “I would just use a makeup brush cleaner, thank you very much.

Although the hack seems complicated, it is actually quite simple to follow
