When it comes to cleaning our homes, the kitchen is one of the places where the most dirt accumulates.
It is important to thoroughly scrub the refrigerator and freezer regularly to keep these areas shiny and new.
A woman, a cleaning expert, who visits @mama_mila on TikTok, say she knows a way to ensure that your fridge is not only spotlessly beautiful, but also smells good – and you probably have all the cleaning supplies at home.
First, she said to empty the food inside.
Then, mix one cup of water with half a cup of white vinegar into a spray bottle.
Her secret ingredient, however, is something that will make your fridge smell spectacular: two teaspoons of vanilla extract.
Then she sprayed the shelves and scrubbed every nook and cranny with a brush.
“This combination has a powerful effect on cutting through spills and leftover messes,” she explains.
When one commenter asked what vanilla extract is for, the cleaning expert replied: “Vanilla extract is definitely for the little ones, but it also contains a small amount of alcohol that keeps the fridge fresh.”
Aside from cleaning the inside of the fridge, another TikTok cleaning expert said it’s also important to take care of the areas behind your device.
In his video@Timbosliceoflife12 says that although people usually don’t notice these hidden spots, dust and food crumbs collect here quickly.
“This can then lead to mold starting to grow because the area is very humid,” he explains.
“This can then lead to bad allergies – not only this but it can lead to pests you don’t want in your home.”
However, TikToker insists these aren’t even the worst things that can happen if you don’t clean the back of your fridge.
“You see, over time, more and more dust will accumulate behind your refrigerator and if it covers the vents on the refrigerator to suck all the air out, it can lead to a house fire. really serious.
“However, to prevent this, experts believe you only need to clean the back of the refrigerator every three months.”
