The Prime Minister wants graffiti and vandalism areas to be repaired within 48 hours and yobs to be publicly punished.

According to his plan, announced Monday, victims will have a say in deciding what punishment perpetrators face.

They are made to wear overalls or high-vis jackets when cleaning up graffiti, collecting rubbish or washing police cars.

Mr Sunak said: “For too long people have endured the scourge of antisocial behavior in their neighbourhood.

“These are not petty crimes.

“They disrupt people’s everyday lives.”

“They hold businesses back and undermine the sense of security and community that brings people together.

“So I’m proposing a new plan to end this behavior once and for all – so everyone can be proud of where they live.”
