Executive producer / showrunner Eliza Clark recently arrived Twitter to bring fans unfortunate news. “We were really trying to get another platform to pick up Season 2 of Y. But sadly, it doesn’t look like that will happen,” she wrote. “Transferring a show has always been incredibly difficult, and in recent years it has become even more difficult.

“A lot of you have supported the show, and I am so grateful to you,” she continued. “I love the group of artists that created Y really, madly, deeply. It’s the best creative work environment I’ve ever been in. I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done… I hope you’ll still watch the show. That you will still tell your friends to watch it. “

Amber Tamblyn, who plays Kimberly Campbell Cunningham, retweeted Clark and added: “Our 1 season of #YTheLastMan is still worth watching. It contains some of the best acting I’ve seen on TV, in all my years in the business. I am honored to bring Kimberly to life. Thank you Eli for all of that. Who knows what the future might bring…”

When FX on Hulu unplug three months ago, Clark determined to find Y its next home, writes, “[W]I’m sad [the show] does not continue to grow at FX on Hulu. But we knew that someone would be very lucky to have this team and this story.”

Tamblyn echoed Clark’s statement at the time, writing in a tweet, “I know this special has a lot to say that will soon find a great new home. Looking forward to the next chapters. If you’re with me, let the world know. #YLivesOn. ”
