THE MOTHER of the late XXXTentacion was gifted a custom pendant featuring her son’s FACE set with gold, diamonds and sapphires.

According to TMZ, the pendant was given to Ms. Bernard by her current boyfriend as a token of love.

The popular Atlanta restaurateur, known only as Mr. Rugs, had the custom piece made from the lavish Mavani jewelry in New York City.

Eric from the jeweler who works for the shop told the outlet that the pendant is made of 200 grams of gold and white diamonds.

It also features over 50 carats of blue sapphires, which were used to replicate XXX’s blue locks.

Eric said he used enamel paint to detail the necklace to capture the rapper’s distinctive look.

XXXTentacion died on June 18, 2018 after being fatally shot while driving away from a motorcycle showroom in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

The 20-year-old was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Four men have been charged with the rapper’s murder.

All four men were charged with first-degree murder with a firearm and armed robbery.

The alleged killers have since pleaded not guilty to the charges against them and are being held at the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Fort Lauderdale while they await trial.

No trial date has yet been set, the Sun Sentinel reported in May 2021.

At the time of his death, the Florida rapper had more than 500,000 Twitter followers and 400 million SoundCloud plays.

Some of his most popular songs are SAD!, BAD! and moonlight.

COMPLAINTED PAST

Earlier this year, a Hulu documentary titled “Look at Me” detailed the late rapper’s rise to fame and controversial past.

People close to him say he reportedly had a complicated relationship at a young age with his mother, who kicked him out of the house when he was a teenager for criminal behavior.

At the age of six, he rammed a shard of glass into a man he believed was threatening his mother while he was being expelled from middle school for fighting with a child who made fun of her.

XXXTentacion was later arrested three times in 2016: first for robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, then for aggravated assault on a pregnant victim and false imprisonment, then again for violating his pre-trial agreement.

X’s former girlfriend Geneva Ayala later claimed the rapper physically and verbally abused her during their relationship.

A tape of him talking about his ex-girlfriend was later revealed by the Pitchfork website, which says it was obtained by police.

In the recording, he spoke about counting on his girlfriend as his “source of happiness in someone else.”

But he claims things turned sour when he started “pissing her off because she made a mistake.”

At the time of his death, he was reportedly facing up to 15 felonies, all of which he had pleaded not guilty to.

However, tributes poured in from fellow musicians Kanye West, Blink 182’s Travis Barker, hip-hop artist and record producer J. Cole, and singer Diplo as the industry mourned his loss.

Documentary maker and hip-hop fan Louis Theroux said, “Despite personal demons, he was a huge talent and brought a beautiful new feeling to hip-hop. So sad.”

His third LP Skins was later released posthumously.
