More than a year on, and getting one of the two next-gen consoles is still a nightmare. Parts shortages, mass production scale and pandemic-related production disruptions form a deadly combination, meaning many of us are still fighting for a Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5.
Still, it’s still possible somehow to get an Xbox – despite the rush of Christmas. The Series X is still available on Amazon and may reach you in time for the new year.
The base control panel is will cost £449.99 on Amazon, with the Series S available for £249.99. Both models appear to be well stocked, but the Series S is available in a more diverse range of game and controller bundles. The more powerful model, on the other hand, is currently only available or bundled with Back 4 Blood or Far Cry 6.
Unfortunately, you won’t get it anytime around Christmas. With early delivery, you can expect it anytime between January 1st and 4th, so at least you’ll be able to welcome 2022 in style.
If you want to buy a Series X, you should probably act fast. As we previously reported, the supply shortage is currently so bad that Microsoft had to give professional Halo players a development console at a tournament. Yes, not even Xbox can receive and Xbox right now.
While getting an Xbox means missing out on some great PlayStation 5 exclusives, we recently discovered that one of the best exclusives is probably coming to Xbox in 2022. Deathloop’s PlayStation exclusivity ends on September 14 next year, making an Xbox and PC port incredibly possible due to its massive popularity. Understandably, Sony isn’t exactly shouting this from the rooftops, and it was really only noticed by some eagle-eyed fans in the small text of a Deathloop ad.
Xbox Series X and S launches November 10, 2020. It is part of the ninth generation of consoles.
Your drying pan won’t protect you from the wrath of social deregulation, Brock.
