Asuka’s triple threat loss at WWE Raw could have proved a turning point.
The former WWE Grand Slam Champion recently lost to Bayley and Rhea Ripley and that seems to have heartbroken the 41-year-old.
Shortly after the loss, she retweeted footage of the fight asking, “Who do you have?” with the answers: “I think everyone should choose someone other than me.”
Only a few minutes later she went after it With: “I don’t want any respect. I never wanted to be respected. I don’t care. I listen to the new Metallica song and go to bed.”
Asuka followed this up with a series of photos of her as Kana the Murdering Clown – a gimmick that portrayed her while on the Japanese indie circuit.
It seems abundantly clear that Asuka’s recent losses have taken their toll, and that fans better be prepared to see Kana step into the ring should she return.
One fan said, “Asuka finally released her Japanese-born alter ego for the final boss of Evil Kana San.”
Another read, “Yes, Asuka is leaving because Kana is on her way.”
While one commented, “Hope this just means we lose face to Asuka and make room for Kana. If she goes back to Japan, that’s fine too, but she will be missed.”
