McMahon, in his role as WWE Boss, delivered a defiant message amid the investigation live on SmackDown.
While daughter Stephanie McMahon replaced him pending the outcome of the investigation.
However, reports in the Wall Street Journal suggest the allegations are broader than previously revealed.
The WSJ claims McMahon agreed to pay four women over $12 million over the past 16 years.

All of the women involved are said to have been formerly associated with the WWE.
The WSJ reveals previously unreported settlements involving a $7.5 million payment to a former wrestler.
The unnamed woman claims McMahon demoted her and refused to renew her contract in 2005 after refusing to pursue a sexual relationship with him.
It is alleged that the woman and her attorneys negotiated the settlement with McMahon in 2018.
WWE Kingpin Vince delivered a cryptic message in his ring persona Mr McMahon on SmackDown on June 17, aimed squarely at WWE fans.
He said: “As always, it is a privilege to stand before you tonight – the WWE Universe.
“It’s a special privilege to be standing in this ring in Minnesota.
“I’m just here to remind you of the four words we just saw, the WWE signature – then, now, forever, together.”
Since the initial allegations, McMahon has made public appearances and was spotted at the cage at UFC 276 in Vegas on Saturday.
An attorney for McMahon did not respond to The Wall Street Journal’s requests for comment.
