Publisher 2K Games released a new post revealed several new game modes and planned additions for WWE 2K22, a wrestling title designed by the developer Visual Con Concept. The blog, released on Thursday, gives players a glimpse of what’s to come The next entry in the franchise, It’s a now released in March.
Some of these promises seem pretty standard – new engine, better graphics, and gameplay controls are things you might expect to come in a new iteration on an old formula. But some of the game modes on the screen look very attractive.
A new mode is Showcase, which allows players to “walk in memory and relive the most iconic matches and moments of WWE Superstars.” Another interesting addition is a mode called MyGM, which is a management mode. Players will have to draft wrestlers, book their matches, manage their contracts, and keep their rosters in good shape.
MyFACTION is a similar mode, except that the player must create “a legendary faction that competes with the iconic nWo” through events and weekly updates. There’s also MyRISE, which looks more familiar. It’s a campaign in which a player creates their own wrestler and goes through their career, starting as a rookie and ending as a champion.
The final main entry in the WWE 2K franchise is 2K20, launched in 2019 and is Distributed by fans due to bugs and barely working. After franchise break, the developer is starting fresh with 2K22. While these modes look appealing, it remains to be seen if this game pulls it off.
