Worst Premier League XI based on stats this season, including Chelsea beating Timo Werner up front and two Newcastle stars

The Premier League is BACK this weekend – but there’s only one game for the die-hard fans.
Burnley welcomes Watford according to the definition of a six-pointer with the home team at the bottom of the table and the Hornets one level above.
Perhaps surprisingly, only one player from these teams has featured in the ‘worst Premier League squad’ of the season so far.
GiveMeSport found the worst player in each position, going in a 4-5-1 formation, using average ratings from Scored.
Leeds, Norwich, Newcastle and Brentford all have two goalscoring players.
And Chelsea’s protected striker takes the lead – but NO Romelu Lukaku.
Here, SunSport checks the team with no players wanting to join…

TARGET WINNER: HEART KRUL (NORWICH) – 6.43
Seemingly aged, the Dutch goalkeeper is likely to stay busy in goal for the Canaries.
Granted 38 of Norwich’s 45 goals conceded.
RB: MADS ROERSLEV (BRENTFORD) – 6.36
If you are not a Brentford fans, chances are you’ve never heard of Roerslev.
The 22-year-old has been with the Bees since 2019, but only really got his chance recently due to injury and suspension.
CB: CIARAN CLARK (NEWCASLE) – 6.24
It looks like this could be the 32-year-old’s final season at St James’ Park.
Only started one game since November, when he was sent off after just nine minutes against Norwich.
CB: WILLIAM TROOST-EKONG (WATFORD) – 6.28
He couldn’t be as bad as captaining Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations.
But Watford has been a shaker in the back, that new boss Roy Hodgson will need to work a miracle.
LB: ROMAIN PERRAUD (SOUTHAMPTON) – 6.38
The Saints have shelled out £10m for Perraud, who is believed to be the right-footed attacking left-back the club need.
Sadly, he didn’t show it off.
CM: ADAM FORSHAW (LEEDS) – 6.38
Play regularly in the middle of Leeds’ midfield with Kalvin Phillips outside injured.
His own return from a career-threatening injury has been impressive – but his performances have been inferior.
CM: SHANDON BAPTISTE (BRENTFORD) – 6.32
Big things are expected of Baptiste, but he has appeared on and off the Brentford team this season.
Boss Thomas Frank seems a bit uncertain about the 23-year-old’s best position.
AM: RYAN FRASER (NEWASTLE) – 6.27
Fraser doesn’t lack confidence – but his performances on the pitch this season haven’t excites Magpies fans.
He has only one assist and no goals in 19 games this season.
AM: JOSH SARGENT (NORWICH) – 6.34
Probably surprised to see him on this team after two great goals recently for Norwich with Watford.
But it’s also good for Sargent, who has struggled to impose himself on games this season.
AFTER: TYLER ROBERTS (LEEDS) – 6.38
The frightened Leeds in front of goal really needed the players to come up to support Patrick Bamford’s injury.
And the fact that Roberts has played as a forward at various stages of his career must be a positive. Sadly, his performance this season has not been a success.
CF: TIMO WERNER (CHELSEA) – 6.31
Dropped from the team this season following the arrival of Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku is struggling with himself – but Werner has since joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2020.
