Her pets, Bronx and Harlem, turned against her in a brutal attack that caused Nikita severe bite wounds to her arms and legs and extensive blood loss.

She was taken to hospital in a serious condition, where she remained on Monday, and according to local media she now needs surgery to save one of her arms.

Her shocked neighbors revealed disturbing details of the attack and said they only became aware of it when Nikita’s painful screams echoed through the street.

But despite their attempts to stop the nightmarish mob, the dogs continued until the police arrived.

Recordings from 9Newsalso revealed a sign on Nikita’s front door that read: “Beware of the Rottweiler.”

A neighbor, Bryn Spencer, said he and another neighbor heard Nikita’s screams for 10 minutes before they decided to intervene.

He explained that the couple tried to stop the violent attack but could not access their property without putting their own lives at risk.

“I thought about jumping over the fence and going in to save her, but there were obviously two Rottweilers… I would have been torn to pieces,” he said told the ABC.

“All I could really do was watch this girl get mauled while I hit the fence with a bat…while (another neighbor) hosed the dog down.”

Speak with 7NewsBryn said he asked police to shoot the dog.

“I said you gotta get your gun out and shoot that dog, it’s going to kill her,” he said.

Although he couldn’t stop the attack, he said he “did everything I could.”

“The other Rottweiler jumped over the fence at me,” he said.

“I kept screaming and banging on the fence.”

Officers reportedly tried to throw Tasers at the dogs but were forced to fire when the attacks didn’t stop.

One of the Rottweilers is in a critical condition.

The dogs were later confiscated by the City of Cockburn and the injured dog was euthanized due to its injuries.

While Rottweilers are not considered a restricted breed in Australia, they can be prone to aggression and male dogs can weigh between 50 and 60 kg.

Nikita appeared to be an avid Rottweiler lover, with photos of the Bronx and Harlem on her Facebook page.

In a photo from 2019, the woman was seen cuddling a Rottweiler. However, it could not be confirmed whether it was the same dog involved in the attack.

The incident reportedly remains under investigation by the City of Cockburn.

The attack on Nikita comes after a brave student told how she thought she was going to die after being attacked by an XL bully dog in Birmingham, UK.

Another dog victim shared her outrage after it reportedly took 17 days for authorities to collect the animal that violently abused her.
