One woman shared the harsh times she had to go through when she checked into a hotel to keep herself safe.

Amy shared the video on TikTok, where it has been viewed more than 24 million times.

She captioned the video: “Girls go to the hotel first…”

For starters, she locks her hotel doors and uses portable door locks to make sure no one can enter the room, whether they have a door card or not.

As an extra precaution, she placed a teacup on the doorknob so that if someone tried to open it, the cup would fall and notify her if she was sleeping, the noise could also prevent intruders from trying. to enter.

Amy then closed the curtains and turned off all the lights to use the infrared detector.

She scans the room with equipment, an infrared detector can reveal if there are any hidden cameras in the room, and she makes sure to check everywhere including the shower, vents and outlets.

Amy also checked the mirrors to make sure there were no two-way glass panels.

Two-way mirror can mean someone can see into your room, a simple way to check if it is or not is to test it with a fingernail.

Amy does this by placing the tip of her finger on the mirror, if there’s a gap between your finger and the mirror it’s most likely a standard mirror.

But if there’s no gap and it looks like your finger is touching the inside of the mirror directly, that could be a sign that it’s actually two-way glass.
