A woman has revealed the one spot in her bedroom that most people pay little attention to when cleaning – and once you see how dusty it is, you’ll never be able to ignore it again.
Cleaning expert Chantel Mila shared a videotapes on social media showing how she has been working to reduce dust in her bedroom.
While making sure her sheets are off, she carries a high-powered vacuum like a backpack and uses the hose to carefully vacuum up and down her entire mattress.
Then she moved to a place where a large amount of dust had accumulated: her nightstand.
She uses the hose on the vacuum to go back and forth, collecting every speck of dust.
While cleaning the headboard is important, she also shares how to make your own duster to deal with leftover dirt.
The spray bottle consists of mixing 1 cup water, 1/4 cup white vinegar, 2 teaspoons fractionated coconut oil, and lemon essential oil.
She demonstrated by using the duster directly on her white nightstand and gently dusting it with a microfiber cloth.
“Coconut oil coats your furniture in a thin layer to prevent dust from settling in,” explains Chantel.
And for her final tip, she used a lint roller on her lampshade to get rid of any nasty dust particles stuck to it.
