DECORATE sounds like a lot of money, but not when you just need a cheap tool to get the job done.
Crafty mom Pam Goulden took to social media to show exactly how she transformed her laundry room with just one piece for less than $10.
Pam revealed the budget-friendly tool as she demonstrated the various do-it-yourself home transformations she achieved using it in a Instagram scroll is shared to her popular page.
“I’ve fallen in love with Sharpie Paint Pens a little over the past year and I’m not upset about it one bit,” Pam wrote alongside her post.
“These incredibly inexpensive tools can not only transform spaces, when you’re ready to change, you can repaint them right away!”
One of her Sharpie projects took a drab wall in her laundry room and made it look completely brick.
The video shows her using a white Sharpie Paint Pen to draw a tile backlash on the wall, creating a sharp contrast to the teal color.
For the bedroom, she did the same thing, but changed only half of the wall.
She drew a design on one half of the wall and made it look like she had actually glued the wallpaper on it using a Sharpie pen.
The last project she documented was her closet space.
She used a black Sharpie Paint Pen on the light purple wall to make it look like it was covered in canvas.
Pam’s transformation has become an inspiration for DIY projects for many Instagrammers like you.
“I absolutely want to do this in the pantry,” said one.
Others are just amazed at how amazingly she transforms a room with just one Sharpie.
“What?!?! So impressive,” another commented.
While this DIY queen shared with her followers how they can transform a wall with just a Sharpie, another interior design expert recently shared her redecorating secret.
Kane Hughes from MyJobQuote claims she has seven tips for Completely change a room in under an hour.
Her first tip is to raise your curtain rod higher to help create the prominence of a much taller room.
Another tip to consider, according to Kane, is to place a large rug in the room as it adds dimension.
Plus, she says there’s no need to buy a whole new set of furniture, as rearranging furniture is another great way to completely change the feel of any room.
She also suggests adding a mirror to the room to create a beautiful focal point and brighten up the room with additional lighting.
