A WOMAN in her 60s was bitten to death by runaway dogs in a house.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene following today’s incident in Liverpool, which is believed to have involved at least two dogs.
Several dogs were reportedly heard barking inside a police line.
Forensic scientists are on site investigating a property on St Bridges Crescent.
The victims’ relatives are said to have been informed.
The emergency services’ key responders included police officers, firefighters and paramedics.
One woman told the Liverpool Echo: “It’s just so awful. You can’t imagine how much the family is suffering right now. You will be devastated.”
Detective Inspector Gavin Mulcahy said: “We understand the shock this incident will bring to the local community and beyond.
“Our officers are on site and conducting further investigations. So if you have any information please let us know.”
