A clip has gone viral of a woman sitting at her table after no one showed up for her planned dinner.
Christian Zamora, who wields the ‘Kidalloy’ handle on TikTok, shared footage of his girlfriend’s empty dining table in a video that has been viewed nearly 15 million times.
In it, he explained that Maryann had planned two weeks in advance for the “Friendship Ceremony” event, decorated the entire basement and cooked a big party.
However, “sadly” no one showed up and, according to Christian, they didn’t even send her a text to let her know they wouldn’t make it.
Maryann, from the US, planned a ‘Friendship Ceremony’ dinner with her friends two weeks ago, but no one showed up that day.
“My girlfriend was so excited for her first Friendship Ceremony but no one showed up,” he writes in the clip, as the camera shows a distraught Maryann sitting at a table alone.
“She decorated the entire basement and cooked a lot of food. I kept trying to cheer her up but to no avail.”
He turned around the room to see a large table filled with food and empty seats.
“I am so sad for her,” he continued.
After many people asked what happened, TikTok user shared another video where he reveals Maryann’s friends suddenly stopped replying to all her messages on the day of dinner.
“My girl and her friends decided to hold the Friendship Ceremony two weeks in advance, they planned this in two weeks,” he said.
In a now-viral TikTok, which has been viewed more than 14 million times, her boyfriend, Christian Zamora, said her friends suddenly stopped replying to all of her messages.
“They planned everything, everything was laid out – the date, the time, and everything. They will all come.
“(But) when the date comes and no one replies to the group chat. No one texted or called, but in her mind she thought everyone was late. When it hit the three o’clock mark, she was like, “Yeah no one’s coming.”
When she called Christian to explain what had happened, he invited his friends to take an empty seat.
“They were gracious enough to come. They all came and brought their belongings. It was like she had her own Festival of Friends, there was a happy ending to it,” he explained.
Maryann, who also appears in the video, said she is no longer friends with the people who skipped her dinner.
TikTok users have since left thousands of messages in the comments section asking to be her friend and calling Christian a ‘sweet’ boyfriend.
“But it was a great night, and his friends and brother showed up. We had a great time,” she said.
“They brought drinks and stuff, it was a fun night. I was very disappointed at the time but it turned out to be a really good night.”
Since then, thousands of people have commented on the videos asking to be her friend and calling her boyfriend “so sweet”.
“She just made over 1000 real friends here,” said another, while a third added, “Honey, this is a good practice when you have worthy friends and your hosting skills.”
In the past, a young boy was heartbroken when NOBODY came to his sixth birthday party at a pizza restaurant.
And a mother shed tears when only ONE friend came to a birthday party for her son with Down syndrome.
