Woman crashes into FHP Cruiser, arrested for DUI

A woman crashed her car into the back of a Florida Highway Patrol cruiser. When the soldier checked the driver, they noticed the smell of alcohol and that she was dozing at the wheel.

Sabrina Saari was arrested for DUI at the intersection of Immokalee Road and Wilson Avenue near Orangetree. Saari’s blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit when she was found.

The soldier said he was outside his cruiser when he saw Saari’s car speeding down the road in the outer lane. The soldier and a Collier County Deputy Sheriff had to jump over a track to avoid being hit.

In a report on the arrest, Saari told investigators she worked at Blue Monkey as a bartender. And, after work, she went to another bar, where he said she had a few glasses of wine and cocktails.

Fortunately, no one was injured in this collision.

Soldiers said Saari was convicted of a DUI in 2013, according to an arrest report.
