A WOMAN was allegedly raped twice on a train by three workers after she refused to pay more for a train ticket.
The three men allegedly offered the young mother-of-two a seat in a first-class train carriage but demanded more money to pay for the ticket.
The 25-year-old woman claims she was attacked after telling them she couldn’t afford the price difference, Samaa reports.
The incident allegedly happened during the 500-mile journey between Multan and Karachi in Pakistan.
According to the outlet, the mother identified the three suspects and their two alleged intermediaries in court at Karachi’s Southern Court.
During the hearing, the woman said she paid Rs250 (£1) for an economy class ticket on the Zakaria Express.
But shortly after arriving at Rohri station, she said one of the ticket inspectors had offered her a seat in an air-conditioned compartment.
The woman agreed and moved into the first-class car, where she was later allegedly raped by two ticket inspectors and her supervisor.
The 25-year-old said the suspects also filmed the medical attack.
She claimed that she was then asked to pay more money for her first-class seat.
She said she refused to pay as she couldn’t afford it and asked to be returned to her economy seat.
But she said her response infuriated the ticket inspectors, who raped her a second time.
The woman reported her ordeal to railway police after getting off the train in Karachi while the suspects fled to “distant areas of Punjab” hoping to evade arrest, Pakistani newspaper Dawn reported.
Authorities said a medical examination of the mother confirmed she had been gang raped.
The horror attack has sparked outrage and calls for the men to be hanged.
