Woman admitted she was involved in murder, then boyfriend’s car was found in Harris County canal

A woman said her boyfriend was missing while picking up a friend of hers on Monday night.

The woman told police early Tuesday morning that her boyfriend’s cell phone went dead during the call. The woman added that her boyfriend had a white Buick Lacrosse.

Following the early investigation into Fransha Brooks, the 32-year-old woman who called police turned out to be involved in a murder, police said Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators later said Fransha stated that she shot a man multiple times. Afterward, she placed the body in a car and drove it into a canal near Thompson and Jones streets.

Two days after an intensive search in the canal, the police managed to find the car on Thursday afternoon. The police pulled the car with a body out of the canal. The body was identified as 30-year-old Jonathan Tisby.

The woman is now being charged with murder and is being held in prison.
