A winter warning has been issued for residents in Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma. Ohio, Kentucky and Mississippi.

The artichoke explosion will come just days after a flurry of snow swept the mid-Atlantic region and New England this week, while another layer of snow will make landfall in the Central states on Thursday.

Based on Weather.com Meteorologist Domenica Davis, the Northeast states could get as much snow as possible.

“Not only is the Northeast seeing snow, but some strong winds and gusts are also likely to be seen,” Davis said.

On Saturday, residents in the Northeast states could see high winds along the coast immediately.

Wind gusts of 40 to 60 mph are forecast from northern Florida to Atlantic Canada on Saturday.

The strongest wind corridors are forecast in North Carolina, along the coast or in the mountains, and in southern New England, where gusts can reach 70 to 90 mph.

As the storm moves northeast and hits the South China Sea over the weekend, it is forecast to strengthen, reaching bomb cyclone status.

“Winds across the entire East Coast will be very strong Saturday and Saturday evenings,” AccuWeather reported.

It is possible that strong gusts of wind will knock down tree branches as there may be a power outage in the affected areas.

However, this will mark the last round of stormy weather of the week for this part of the country, “after torrential but beneficial rains,” AccuWeather reports.
