DIFFERENT Arctic blast is expected to hit the US this week, with snow and ice forecast in large areas of the country.

Again big winter storm is forecast to sweep upward from the Southeast across parts of the Midwest and East Coast, according to Weather channel.

Wild weather is now forecast for the latter part of this week.

The National Weather Service has issued weather warnings for parts of the country as a result of the forecasts.

It arrived just a few days later Snowstorm Izzy Heavy or heavier snow fell in several northern states last weekend after also freezing in the Southeast.

Hundreds of flights were canceled by the storm, and thousands of people lost power.

  • Northeast may not be threatened

    Weather channel also predicted that the Northeast states could see only a light layer of snow on Saturday.

    Forecasters have warned that it is still too early to rule out the risk of greater snowfall in the Northeast.

  • When is the storm expected?

    The Weather Channel forecast that rain could turn to snow Wednesday night through Thursday, in the Ohio and Tennessee valleys.

    The storm is expected to move eastward on Friday.

  • Another blizzard will happen

    The Weather Channel reports that another winter storm could make landfall in parts of the Southeast and south mid-Atlantic later this week.

    Winter storm watches have been placed in parts of the Carolinas, as well as south-central Texas.
