James Courtemanche, 43, from Ontario, couldn’t believe his luck after winning more than £110,000 in cash from two tickets purchased at Minnow Lake Kwik Way in Sudbury, Canada.

He’s been dropped from scoring a sweet $88,888 (£51,883) in 2021 – only to win a second grand total of $100,000 (£58,369) this year.

“I couldn’t believe it was happening,” James said.

“I was surprised – and then I remembered good things happening on three occasions, so I was ready for my next one.”

James purchased an Instant Wild 8 ticket from his local store before going home and making a life-changing discovery.

He couldn’t believe his luck, but claimed the prize by checking his ticket on the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation app,

Just in August, he visited Canada’s lottery headquarters to claim his winnings from a previous purchase at Minnow Lake Kwik Way on Brancroft Drive.

His Instant Money Match card sealed the fate of his first jackpot before he went on to buy a second ticket from the same store.
