Wild Moment NBA player dubbed “modern day Dennis Rodman” launches a rocket in a quiet neighborhood

SAN Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan has fled town to launch a rocket with friends during ‘Adventure Time’.

The 19-year-old former Baylor star continues to prove he’s a man of many talents in his first season in the NBA.

The Spurs selected Sochan as the No. 9 pick in the 2022 NBA draft for his versatility, basketball IQ and defensive skills.

They also liked his bubbly personality, which often manifests in the form of colorful hairstyles and a competitive spirit.

His attributes – both on and off the field – have earned him comparisons to NBA and Spurs icon Dennis Rodman.

But while Sochan doesn’t understand Rodman’s penchant for partying with nuclear dictators, the newcomer expressed an interest in aviation on a recent getaway with friends.

Earlier this week, the 6ft-8 forward shared videos of his “outside in nature” adventures.

Sochan and his friends were given an RC racing car that could reportedly go 60 miles per hour and a soccer ball – which he called “a real soccer ball” to emphasize his English roots.

And they also apparently had some model rockets they were hoping to launch to the tune of the theme song 2001: A Space Odyssey.

At least one launch attempt ended in a fiasco.

But a few of the rockets successfully flew into the sky — reaching altitudes where the would-be astronauts lost sight of the mini-spacecraft.

Sochan has earned a break from the court as he has been one of the busiest rookies this season.

The wingman averages 8.8 points, 2.4 assists and 4.8 rebounds in 25.7 minutes per game.

He recently made headlines by starting to use only one hand on a free throw attempt – just like Rodman did during his time at San Antonio.

And impressively, the unique shooting technique helped him improve on the 45.8% he previously scored from the charity streak.
