THE US Air Force has joined South Korea in joint aerial exercises that will parade various defense aircraft in an act of violence amid threats from North Korea.
A United States Air Force B-52 strategic bomber and a C-17 aircraft, both reportedly nuclear-capable, joined the South Korean Air Force in exercises this morning.
South Korean F-35A and F-15K fighters also took part in the joint exercises held in South Korea’s Air Defense Identification Zone.
The zone where the drills took place is southwest of South Korea’s southern island called Jeju, according to a statement from the Seoul Defense Ministry.
The joint exercise is part of a protest against the US’s “enhanced deterrence” against North Korea, the South Korean military said, VOA News reported.
