Why won’t Naomi Osaka play at Wimbledon 2022?

Osaka had an injury-plagued season that saw them only accumulate 17 games overall.

And the Japanese star confirmed on Twitter that a left Achilles injury has ruled her out of this year’s Wimbledon.

Osaka mentioned that her Achilles “still isn’t right” and then went on to describe where she is mentally.

Naomi wrote: “I feel like life keeps dealing cards and you’ll never get used to it.

“But how you adapt to uncomfortable situations really says something about your character.”

Osaka’s ranking has plummeted to 14 after their constant absences, but the talented youngster took first place in 2019.

And she climbed the ladder by winning FOUR Grand Slams since the beginning of her professional career.
