Why is ‘Simon Cowell Dead’ trending?
In January 2023, Simon Cowell’s former flame, singer Sinitta, was bombarded with messages saying he had died.
The couple’s romance began in 1983 and lasted for 30 years.
But a cruel prank by Twitter trolls made Sinitta fear the worst.
She said: “There is a terrible prank that Simon Cowell is dead.

“It freaked me out last night when people started texting me.
“Simon is NOT dead folks – he is very much alive and well.
“Thank god I have a sense of humor, but you really scared me.”
The false rumors continue to circulate online even though Cowell is alive and well.
In 2023 he was busy recording both Season 18 of America’s Got Talent and Season 16 of Britain’s Got Talent.
What did fans say?
Fans have slammed the death hoax trend.
One said: “Unfortunately, people start these rumors to cause fear and excitement and it’s about… Just awful.”
Another said: “No but he’s already died 8 times this year.”
And others who are clearly not fans of the music mogul have still blasted the sick hoax.
One admitted: “I mean I hate him but I would never wish death on anyone.”
And another summed it all up by tweeting: “I don’t know why y’all are all squeezing if y’all are also doing this tictok trend when death is nothing to joke about but y’all do it all the time so hypocritical really.”

“It was important to Simon that the children were there too as he adores them both and the family they have become.”
Cowell is said to have a net worth of approximately $600 million.
