Why is Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizing Cream recalled?
On Sunday, March 20, 2022, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a recall of Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer due to possible bacterial contamination.
Some bottles of Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer may contain Pluralibacter gergoviae, which has the potential to alter the health of people with weakened immune systems.
Symptoms of a Pluralibacter gergoviae infection can include breathing problems, weakness, fever, nausea, and vomiting.
The strain of bacteria is not known to have a negative effect on healthy people.


Bottles manufactured between October 1 and October 18, 2021 may contain contaminants.
Each affected bottle is 3 ounces or 10 ounces.
