Even though she pleads not guilty Stuart Smith, her former assistant and alleged accomplicepleaded guilty in November 2021 to one count of conspiracy to commit fraud involving telemarketing, one count of conspiracy to launder money and one count of obstruction of an official proceeding.

After the arrest, the star was criticized by fans for “lie” and said her husband was hospitalized for internal bleeding as others also labeled her a “pathological liar” and “not even a good or intelligent liar.”

Shah’s trial is scheduled to begin in July 2022.

Why did Jen Shah refuse a plea deal?

In the third part of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Reunion season 2 Shah touched on her legal issues where she revealed exactly why she turned down a plea deal.
