Why is ‘Arnold Schwarzenegger Dead’ trending?
Schwarzenegger started following trends after several people started sharing messages of condolence on Facebook.
Fans who came across the post were left confused – as the posts implied the actor had passed away.
To confuse matters further, a video also surfaced on YouTube claiming that the actor had died.
The title of the video was: “5 Minutes Ago / Rip Arnold Schwarzenegger / Goodbye Arnold Schwarzenegger”.

However, the channel is known for posting fake videos of celebrities.
At the time of writing, there’s no reason to believe Arnold is dead — with no official reports to back it up.
Where did the rumors come from?
The scam was likely the work of pranksters who deliberately spread the twisted rumor on Facebook.
Dozens of hoaxes about celebrity deaths pop up all the time across the internet, and Schwarzenegger is far from the only high-profile name to run afoul of fake reports.
In 2022 alone, celebrities like 50 Cent, KSI, Ice Cube and Mia Khalifa have acted as “dead” online on various social media sites.
And all have been proven wrong.
Facebook had previously announced that it would introduce new features to counteract misinformation and improve user safety.
The new features are intended to recognize and reduce the spread of false information.
One of the most notable tools introduced is the ability to automatically reject incoming posts containing misinformation using Admin Assist.
For instructions on how to use the new features, visit the official Facebook website.
Where is Arnold Schwarzenegger now?
Despite his advancing age, Arnold remains active and posts regularly on Instagram.
His page features pictures of his daily life and sponsorship deals – including his continued affiliation with the mobile game World of Tanks.
The former actor had previously left users divided in September after leaving a Terminator quote in an Auschwitz guest book during a visit to the concentration camp.

The Hollywood legend had toured the camp with the Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation after being recognized for its efforts to combat racism and anti-Semitism.
The 75-year-old vowed to help the anti-racism organization “end the hate” before ending the tour by ending his tour by writing “I’ll be back” in the visitor’s log.
