And you’ll hear a raucous sing-along to a classic tune before kick-off on the City Ground for every duel.

Why are Nottingham Forest fans singing Mull of Kintyre?
Nottingham Forest first played the hit Paul McCartney and Wings at the City Ground before triumphantly beating Yeovil Town in 2008, leading to an inspired Forest Seal promotion back to the Championship.
And since then it’s been used on-site, played before kick-off and also sung by Forest faithful during games.
Like Forest, Charlton Athletic have their own version of the song, but across the Thames.

What are the lyrics to the Forest version?
city floor
O mist that rolls in from the Trent
My wish is to always be here
Oh city floor
I have traveled far and seen a lot
Goodison, Anfield are places I’ve been
Maine Road, Old Trafford still reverberates to the sound
From the guys in the Red from the City Ground

city floor
O mist that rolls in from the Trent
My wish is to always be here
Oh city floor
The leather pass like clougies big men
Please take us back to the days I knew then
Play when we sang in the Nottingham choir
When we beat up the Derbyshire sheep
city floor
O mist that rolls in from the Trent
My wish is to always be here
Oh city floor
Smile in the sunshine, football like champagne
Still take me back to where my memories stay
The flickering embers grow higher and higher
And a new group of players for us to inspire
city floor
O mist that rolls in from the Trent
My wish is to always be here
Oh city floor
city floor
O mist that rolls in from the Trent
My wish is to always be here
Oh city floor
