On Saturday, February 5, 2022, rapper Compton decided to share a snippet of his unreleased track, Out of My Mind, on Instagram.

The chorus sings: “I’m short, I’m tall / I’m out of my body, out of my mind / When you take my soul, make time for you.”

Fans were thrilled to hear his first release in years, the same fans who criticized the shared track.

Ricch returned to Instagram to address the backlash before deactivating his account shortly afterwards: “I guess I’m failing now,” he wrote. “This is crazy.”
