On October 23, 2020, Iggy Azalea confirmed that she and Playboi Carti had split.

Before their split, their relationship was plagued by cheating rumors.

Azalea seemingly alluded to the rumors via Instagram, writing, “You lost a real 1…People take loyalty for granted and that’s why I’d rather be alone.”

“One thing I’ll never understand is how liars live with themselves.

A few hours later she did so and said, “What I [meant] last night was that I’m raising my son alone and I’m not in a relationship.”

Over the course of their relationship, Carti and Azalea welcomed one child, son Onyx Kelly, who was born in April 2020.

Since Onyx was born, Azalea has tried her best to keep him out of the spotlight, even saying in July 2021 that she no longer posts pictures of him online.

“I have decided that I will no longer post about Onyx or share pictures online,” Azalea wrote on Twitter.

“You won’t be out here playing with my baby under my supervision, no!”

In a previous interview with PEOPLE, she told the outlet that she would like him “to have a chance to be his own person.”

“I want him to have his own identity. I don’t want him to be so attached to me,” Azalea explained.

“I want him to have a chance to be his own person and I don’t want people to know him or have an opinion about him before they even meet him or before he’s even decided who he is.”
