On July 21, 2021, former adult actress Mia Khalifa made an announcement about her relationship with her husband.
She canceled her wedding reception to Robert Sandberg even though the couple tried their “absolutely hardest.”
The media personality had previously postponed their June 2020 wedding due to the Covid pandemic, but then canceled the reception outright.
According to Republic World, Mia and Robert legally married at their home in 2020 and just celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
However, they were expected to hold a late-night celebration for friends and family, which has since been scrapped.
Mia announced the couple’s split in an Instagram post, which was accompanied by a black and white photo of the couple’s shadows.
She wrote, “We can say with confidence that we gave everything we could to make our marriage work, but after nearly a year of therapy and effort, we walk away knowing that we have a friend in each other and that we really tried.”
“We will always love and respect each other because we know that it wasn’t a single incident that caused our breakup, but an accumulation of irreconcilable, fundamental differences for which neither can blame the other.”
She went on to admit that the couple had “no regrets” and that they would remain connected through their “family, friends and our love for our dogs.”
Mia called the breakup “long overdue,” but reiterated that the couple “can walk away and say we did our best.”
Has Mia Khalifa been married before?
The former Pornhub icon was previously married for three years during her adult career between 2011 and 2014.
It was reported that she got married right out of high school early in her porn career, but her former husband’s name has not been identified.
She then got engaged to Sandberg in March 2019, but he first appeared on her Instagram in August 2018.
Sandberg, 28, is a Swedish chef who lived in LA with Khalifa and her dog, Bella.
It is unclear whether he will remain in the USA or return to his homeland.

On December 29, 2021, Khalifa revealed a feud between Jhayco and Rauw Alejandro on TikTok.
Khalifa can be seen in the video using her computer to look something up on the internet, with the caption: “Translating on google trying to keep up with this jhayco beef but it doesn’t accept ‘huelebicho’ as an adjective.”
However, the couple reportedly split the following year.
There were also rumors that she was dating NFL star DeShaun Watson, although these have since been proven untrue.
