Last night (October 6, 2022), Harry Styles fans waiting for his performance at the United Center in Chicago were informed that the concert had been canceled – two hours before it was due to begin.

Although fans were disappointed, they were told the show had been moved to another date.

The canceled gig was the first of six planned at the United Center.

The concert is now being rescheduled to Monday, October 10, 2022 “as a precaution” due to “band/crew illness,” according to a tweet from the United Center.

A spokesman for Sony Music, Harry’s record label, said the singer was unaffected.

Tomorrow night’s show (October 8, 2022) will continue as scheduled, followed by the remaining concerts.

Harry himself has not yet commented on the last-minute cancellation of the concert.

What have fans said about Harry’s cancellation?

When the concert was cancelled, some die-hard fans reportedly queued more than 48 hours in advance to claim a coveted “Pit” bracelet for general admission.

Speaking to the Chicago Sun Times, Harry fan Baylee Kuk said, “We were about to put on our outfits and head back to the United Center (when we were told).”

She added that she met other campers who even flew in from Hawaii for the concert. She said: “Some people are really screwed.”

But Baylee confirmed to United Center officials that the bracelets they received for a prime pit seat on Thursday morning (October 6, 2022) will be honored for the postponed show.

Baylee said, “I go to concerts all the time, and I’ve never seen one canceled hours before.”

Fans also took to Twitter to share their frustration, with one tweeting: “Totally unacceptable. Thousands of people have just been scammed out of their hard earned money (flight, hotel, transportation, leisure).

“And most people leave town before Monday. They do EVERYTHING they can to not cancel a show! Especially on the DAY OF or 2 HOURS before.”

Meanwhile, hundreds of fans tweeted that they wanted to sell their tickets as they couldn’t make the new date.
