Why are Newcastle wearing a one-off kit against Brighton?
The Premier League decided in the rarest of scenarios that all THREE the Magpies strip would clash with Brighton’s kits.
As a result, Newcastle have been given special permission to wear an alternative kit to be used by the players in warm-up training sessions.


A statement on the club’s official website read: “Accordingly, Newcastle United have been granted special permission by the Premier League to wear a sky blue shirt.”
Featuring the silhouette of St James’ Park and several of the city’s landmarks, this jersey is worn with the traditional black shorts and socks.
Is the one-time kit available for sale?
Newcastle fans will be delighted to hear that the kit is expected to go on sale soon.
A statement read: “The shirt will normally be worn by players on matchdays as a pre-match shirt, but will be branded with FUN88, noon.com and the Premier League for the trip to the Amex Stadium.
“The pre-match shirt will be available soon from shop.nufc.co.uk.”
