Netflix’s Spanish Thrillers, Wasteland, definitely a movie that gives us scary things! Set in 19th century Spain, the film witnesses the life of a small family, “separated from the rest of society” led by a scary creature.
The film follows Lucía (Inma Cuesta) and her son Diago (Asier Flores), who live far away from the rest of society in a desolate area where there is almost no life. The mother and son family unit almost never socializes with others, instead they depend on each other and initially develop a peaceful existence in nature, but the sudden appearance of A “mysterious and violent creature” begins to haunt their little house, putting their relationship to the test. Will they be able to survive the horrors of monsters? You’ll have to watch to find out!
