Whoopi Goldberg shocks View fans as she ‘rudely’ interrupts Sara Haines to ‘completely change the subject’ on the live show.

WHOOPI Goldberg used her moderation skills to interrupt her co-moderator in the middle of a conversation to switch to another topic.

While viewers often accuse Whoopi of acting “bored” during Hot Topics segments, the host decided to share her opinion during one of Monday’s discussions.

However, after she began hearing comments from her View co-hosts, the presenter’s attitude quickly changed, and she made sure to change the subject just as quickly.

Whoopi started the debate, which centered on a mermaid statue in Italy that has caused controversy because of its curvy facial features.

The 67-year-old beamed: “Come on, that’s a mermaid! As you know, mermaids are not real.

“And most of her is a fish, except for her butt, and I don’t know how they calculate that. But she has a butt.

“I don’t think kids think, ‘Oh, she’s sexy.’ I think they’re like, ‘Ooh, a mermaid!’”

She then took it to her co-stars to share their take on the matter, and then it turned to Whoopi.

After Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin made a few quick comments, Sara jumped in, adding, “It’s not even anatomically correct!

“The gap between the butt is the two legs sliding side by side.

“How does she have a butt when she has a dick? That’s my problem with it.”

When Sara got upset about the matter, Whoopi just looked out at the crowd, seemingly off topic.

Sunny and Sara ended up debating whether someone could have a butt with no legs and only a tail when Whoopi abruptly cut them off.

“Hey! You know what else,” the moderator chimed in, before quickly switching the discussion to the entirely different topic of the month, Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

One shocked fan simply tweeted, “Whoopi is changing the subject like that!”

Another angry viewer exploded: “Why did Whooper cut Sara off (again)? She made a big point with this mermaid sculpture.”

During a conversation about equality in relationships about who makes how much money, Whoopi twice told Sara to “hang in there” after the moderator tried to interfere while the moderator was speaking.

Earlier in the same episode, the 67-year-old also begged Joy to “hang in there” after speaking out about her.
