On Monday’s show, The View welcomed Senator Tim Scott to the show.

When the talk show returned from the commercial, Whoopi said, “The reason we continue to have new exceptionalism is that every time people take 40 steps forward, they’re pulled back 40 steps.”

“So how can we as a nation, because we as a nation seem to be going the right way and then we go back.”

She continued: “You as a black man and one of the other three black senators. But you talked about it yourself when the police stopped you.”

“How can you get your party to stop trying to push the progress that people are making? Because that’s what I complained about when I wanted you to come out and talk about it.”

Senator Scott responded, saying his party was making progress.

Sunny interrupted him and asked, “How’s that?”

Senator Scott continued talking to Whoopi, but then turned his chair and looked at Sunny to answer her question.

As he began to answer Sunny’s question, Whoopi interrupted, “I was talking to you, so I’d appreciate an answer.”

He was still turned away from Whoopi and she asked, “Would you like me to step next to you?”

The senator invited Whoopi in and she jumped up from her seat.

Whoopi walked over to Sunny and put her arm around her co-host’s shoulders as the senator spoke.

“I was just talking to Ana about…” Senator Scott said, pointing behind him.

“Yeah, your back looks damn good from here,” joked Ana Navarro.

Senator Scott gave his answer and about halfway Whoopi went back to her seat.

At this point, the senator stood up so he could face them all while he continued talking, but eventually sat down again.

WILD WHOOPI

It’s not the first time Whoopi has jumped from her seat.

In April, she did it again when she yelled at a guest backstage.

“We can hear you,” she said after voices were picked up over the microphones.

The View came back from the commercial break and it was anything but quiet.

“Hey, welcome back, but wait a minute,” Whoopi said. “What’s the matter, Alyssa?”

Then the camera panned to Alyssa Farah Griffin, who was making an announcement.

“I’m so excited. I was a guest host on the Pivot Podcast with the incomparable Kara Swisher,” she said.

“That’s going to air tomorrow wherever you get your podcasts. We talk about everything that has to do with politics and politics.”

“Cool,” Whoopi said while the other co-hosts clapped. “Wait a moment.”

She got up from her seat and turned her head to look backstage.

“Hey, whoever is back there, we can hear you!” yelled the 67-year-old.

The view panel laughed as Whoopi sat back down and smiled at the camera.

“It’s Taraji,” Alyssa let her know. “Take selfies.”

Joy Behar agreed and then Whoopi moved on to the next section.

Taraji P. Henson just left the stage before the show went into commercials and was apparently still backstage.

WHOOPI GOES WILD

In January, she jumped out of her seat again during a heated argument.

The women of The View spoke to TV presenter and comedian Chelsea Handler about hosting the Critics Choice Awards and more.

Chelsea gave their opinion on whether or not George Santos should step down and Elon Musk took charge of Twitter.

The women then spoke about them and their careers, including guest hosting for The Daily Show.

Sunny then spoke about the comedy skit they showed at the beginning of the segment and how Chelsea spoke about how some mothers shouldn’t have had children.

Chelsea then went on to say she made no apologies for not having children and felt more women should advocate for being “voluntarily childless.”

“I’m 47 and people still say, ‘Are you sure?’ “I am certain. I’m positive,” she said.

They then talked about how older women could still have children, but Chelsea said she had the option and said no.

“Look, she doesn’t want them,” Whoopi said.

“The bottom line is that Chelsea Handler doesn’t want children and why do you make it your business to ask her about it?”

She continued, “Ask her how she’s doing. Ask them how the dogs are. Don’t ask her if she wants children.”

Then Whoopi got up from her seat, leaned over the desk and said, “The answer is NO!”

The judges and Chelsea laughed before moving on to the next subject.
