What is the prize money for the 2023 Kentucky Derby?
The total prize pool for this year’s big race at Churchill Downs is a whopping $3 million.
The Kentucky Derby has the largest prize pool of any Triple Crown race.
The Belmont Stakes is the second of the three tournaments with a total prize pool of $1.5 million.
And the lowest prize pool offered in the Triple Crown races is in the Preakness Stakes with a prize pool of $990,000.
The total pot for the Kentucky Derby is broken down as follows:
