Now many students across the country have gone too far, and it has resulted in the deaths of many, including Stone Foltz.

Who was Stone Foltz?

Stone Foltz was a 20-year-old Delaware, Ohio native who attended Bowling Green State University.

The student reportedly attended the university’s business school after graduating from Buckeye Valley High School in 2019.

According to The Columbus Dispatch, Superintendent Andrew Miller described him in a statement as a “beloved member” of the community.

“Stone was a friend to all blessed to know him,” Miller said.

What was the cause of Stone Foltz’s death?

Foltz died on March 4, 2021, in what the university described as “alleged harassment,” according to NBC4i.

Back then, he was found unconscious by a roommate after members of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity brought him back to his apartment.

According to a lawsuit, his “big brother” was among the Pi Kappa Alpha members to bring him back and was supposed to stay the night to make sure he was okay, but instead he was reportedly “taken out of the car to his apartment.” and left alone on the couch to die,” via CBS News.

After Foltz’s body was discovered, he was quickly rushed to the hospital and placed on life support, which was turned off after his family arranged for his organs to be donated.

Since 2000, there have been over 50 school bullying-related deaths nationwide, according to NBC News.

Has anyone been charged in Stone Foltz’s death?

As a result of Foltz’s death, the fraternity was temporarily suspended and an investigation was launched.

Since then, several members have pleaded guilty to their involvement, but two students, Troy Henrickson and Jacob Krinn, are currently on trial and facing multiple charges, including negligent manslaughter and reckless murder, according to NBC4i.

  • Canyon Caldwell pleaded guilty to obstructing justice and abusive counts on eight counts of the misdemeanor
  • Niall Sweeney pleaded guilty to evidence tampering and misdemeanor
  • Daylen Dunson pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including reckless murder and tampering with evidence

It is currently unclear how long Henrickson and Krinn’s trial will last.
